As a Data Analytics Consultant (Value Modelling), you will be responsible for building and maintaining value models that support strategic decision-making across the superannuation fund. You will work across member outcomes, investment performance, and operational efficiency - using your technical skills and domain knowledge to tell compelling stories through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain value models to assess member and fund outcomes
- Conduct advanced data analysis across large, complex superannuation datasets
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations using PowerBI or equivalent tools
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code in R, Python, or similar languages
- Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with client teams across actuarial, investments, member services, and finance
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling frameworks and data governance practices
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, managing your own workload and delivery timelines
Essential
- 7+ years of experience in superannuation, financial services, or data analytics
- Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, or a related quantitative discipline
- Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIAA/AIAA) - strongly preferred
- Strong programming skills in R, Python, or equivalent analytical languages
- Demonstrated experience building and interpreting value models or financial/member outcome models
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools - PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
- Ability to work independently and deliver quality outputs with limited day-to-day supervision
- Strong communication skills - able to present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills & Experience

- Prior experience delivering a similar value modelling capability for another superannuation fund or financial services organisation
- Experience with large member administration datasets (e.g. Link, IFAA, or similar platforms)
- Exposure to APRA regulatory reporting requirements in the superannuation context
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment
