IT Support Officer
Location: Melbourne (travel within Australia required)
Employment Type: Full Time
On-Call: Participation in after-hours roster required
The Opportunity
We are seeking an IT Support Officer to provide technical support and maintain critical infrastructure supporting a Melbourne based business. This role is primarily based in Melbourne CBD however requires frequent travel to suburbs throughout Melbourne & Victoria. Due to this a Full and Open Driving License is Mandatory! There is a 1 in 6 Roster for On Call Support!
This role is responsible for responding to incidents and service requests via the ITSM system while ensuring systems remain stable, secure and available in line with defined SLAs and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests routed through the IT Service Desk
- Adhere to SLAs, SLOs and defined service KPIs
- Install, configure and maintain core network-based systems including:
- Active Directory Services
- DNS & DHCP
- Microsoft Exchange
- Backup systems
- VMware environments
- File & Print Servers
- Application Servers
- Threat detection systems
- Monitor system performance and availability, providing reporting as required
- Maintain accurate configuration, operational and preventative maintenance documentation
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for servers and network equipment
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal system performance
- Provide updates to the Site Services Team Lead and/or Site Services Manager
- Support integration of systems into enterprise network standards
- Provide after-hours support via on-call roster
- Travel nationally as required
