Our client, a leading player in the Mining Equipment, Technology, and Services (METS) sector, is seeking a Technical Lead to oversee the maintenance and health of critical equipment through innovative AI, machine learning, and predictive technologies. You will lead the development team while integrating advanced solutions for machine maintenance, equipment health, fault detection, and operational efficiency.

You will bring a broad technical skill set and the ability to work across various technologies and platforms, from development to system architecture. With strong leadership skills and a problem-solving mindset, you will identify opportunities, delays, and system faults, driving solutions for improved operational performance. The role offers growth opportunities, with a potential 6-month rolling contract.

• Guide a team of developers while ensuring high-quality delivery and provide hands-on support as a Senior Developer, writing code and performing code reviews.

• Contribute to high-level design (HLD), architectural approval, and strategic planning.

• Drive the use of AI and machine learning for predictive maintenance and fault detection using Python.

• Oversee data collection and analysis for faults, delays, and shutdown management to optimize equipment health and operational efficiency.

• Manage system integrations involving SAP, including alarms and fault management, and lead the use of AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization in system integration.

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead in the mining or heavy machinery sector, with strong expertise in predictive analytics and machine maintenance/equipment health.

• Experience working with machine learning/AI technologies, and agentic coding, including Large Language Models.

• Strong experience with Python for backend development, machine learning, and AI models.

• Proven ability to lead a development team, provide technical guidance, and perform code reviews.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, CI/CD processes, Terraform, and containerization is essential.

• Hands-on experience with SAP integrations is also important.
