The Company
This organisation is a well-known player in the Australian energy sector, currently delivering a number of technology and digital initiatives across their platforms. They are investing heavily in modernising internal systems and building new digital capabilities that support operational and customer-facing products.

Due to increased project demand, they are looking to engage an experienced Technical Business Analyst on a 6-month daily rate contract to work closely with engineering and product teams on a number of platform initiatives.

The Role
You will operate as a bridge between engineering teams, UX/design, and business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and translated into scalable technical solutions.

This is a hands-on Technical BA role suited to someone comfortable working closely with developers and understanding modern web architectures and data-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements.

• Translate requirements into clear user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.

• Partner closely with software engineers, UX designers, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Support the design and delivery of modern applications using Python-based services and React front-end platforms.

• Facilitate workshops, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies within Agile delivery teams.

• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.

• Ensure alignment between technical delivery and broader business objectives.

Key Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within the energy sector (utilities, electricity markets, renewables, or energy trading environments).

• Strong technical understanding with exposure to Python and React-based applications.

• Experience working closely with software development teams in Agile environments.

• Ability to confidently engage with developers, UX designers, and business stakeholders.

• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working on digital platforms, data products, or customer-facing applications.

• Exposure to API-driven architectures or cloud environments.

• Understanding of energy market systems or operational platforms.
