You'll take ownership of the engineering function, driving the technology roadmap and setting the direction for how modern software is built, deployed, and scaled across the organisation.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, product, and clinical teams, you'll lead a transformation toward best-in-class engineering practices while navigating a complex, highly regulated environment.

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned to broader business and technology objectives

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team across multiple disciplines

• Drive adoption of modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, DevOps, cloud-native architecture)

• Own the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient platforms

• Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate strategy into execution

• Uplift engineering standards, ways of working, and overall capability

• Lead transformation initiatives across legacy and modern platforms

• Ensure systems meet the demands of a regulated, data-sensitive environment

• Proven experience in a Head of Engineering / Engineering Director / senior leadership role

• Strong background in software engineering, architecture, and platform delivery

• Experience driving engineering transformation and uplifting capability

• Deep understanding of modern engineering practices and cloud environments

• Ability to operate in complex, stakeholder-heavy organisations

• Experience in regulated industries (e.g. healthcare, fintech, government) is highly regarded

• Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to balance delivery and long-term vision
