Description

Talenza's client is looking for an experienced Cyber Architect & Assurance Specialist for a 9 month contracting assignment, to support the delivery of secure technology initiatives across enterprise IT and operational technology environments.

This is a hands on role where you'll drive cyber assurance across projects while contributing to secure architecture across enterprise and operational technology environments, ensuring security is embedded from the very start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of cyber assurance across projects and initiatives
  • Embed security early in the lifecycle (initiation, concept, design) to avoid rework
  • Own and manage assurance plans, milestones, and deliverables
  • Work closely with cyber security leads to align resources and assurance activities
  • Contribute to secure architecture design across IT, OT, and ICS environments
  • Perform design reviews, threat modelling, and security impact assessments
  • Provide end to end assurance across design, build, test, and deployment
  • Review and validate solution designs against standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and uplift security standards, architecture principles, and guidelines
  • Drive stakeholder coordination, reporting, and evidence management

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications in Cyber Security, IT, Business, or related field
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, GIAC, TOGAF (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in cyber security, with strong architecture and/or design exposure
  • Experience across IT and Operational Technology (OT/ICS) environments
  • Strong knowledge of NIST CSF 2.0, ASD Essential Eight, and SOCI Act
  • Experience supporting cyber assurance, uplift, or maturity activities
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, including clear reporting and documentation
  • Good to have experience working in critical infrastructure environments (e.g. Utilities, mining etc.) and / or exposure to budget management and risk based cyber security planning.
