Talenza have partnered exclusively with a leading organisation who is undergoing a significant transformation across its technology and security landscape - modernising its environments, strengthening cloud capability, and investing in the future of its cyber security function.

They are now seeking a hands-on Detection Engineering / Security Operations professional to join their Security Operations team and play a key role in building and maturing their detection and response capability. This is a technical and hands-on role where you will actively shape how we detect, respond to, and stay ahead of threats. You will be responsible for building and maintaining systems, developing and fine-tuning detection rules, applying threat intelligence to prioritise risk and hunting emerging threats. You will also work to upgrade and maintain tools, improve visibility across EDR, SIEM and cloud platforms, integrate threat intelligence sources like MISP into daily workflows and contribute to documentation and automation that enable consistent and effective security operations.

This role will work across:

• Detection engineering within SIEM (currently Splunk/Sentinel)
• Threat intelligence integration (MISP)
• Incident response and escalation support
• Platform and infrastructure uplift
• Log onboarding, use case development, and detection tuning

This is a Brisbane based role which requires 3 days in office.
