Our NSW Government client are looking for a highly capable Senior Pipeline & Investment Officer to join the organisation. In this role, the successful candidate will support investment reviews and assurance, ensuring capital business cases meet standards and align with funding requirements. This role is about diligence, analysis, and providing advice that strengthens decision-making and ensures investments deliver value. You'll be part of the team that helps the division navigate complex financial and commercial processes, balancing compliance with pragmatism and keeping leaders confident in the quality of their proposals. Candidates should have financial/economic or public sector investment experience and excellent stakeholder skills.
This role requires candidates to be able to start immediately, so will need candidates with a maximum of one weeks notice.
Role Title: Senior Pipeline & Investment Officer
Contract Role Till: 30/06/2026 - chance of extending.
Daily Pay: $750 - $850 + Super
Location: 2 days in Office, one in Sydney CBD (2000) and the other at Macquarie Park (2113) and the rest WFH.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to detailed reviews and analysis of business cases, ensuring compliance with funding, accounting, and assurance requirements.
- Provide advisory support to governance and assurance teams in the development and review of investment briefs and business cases.
- Partner with finance and asset teams to interrogate assumptions, highlight risks, and recommend adjustments.
- Contribute to assurance activities by monitoring plans, conducting health checks, and validating business case outcomes.
- Support the Prioritisation and Pipeline team through annual processes including the development of asset and services plans, updating of financial sustainability programs, preparing for annual planning and budgeting exercises and annual portfolio health checks.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Background in finance and investment, with experience in portfolio prioritisation and assurance processes highly regarded.
- Skilled in optioneering, analytics, and investment administration across varied asset classes.
- Strong understanding of government funding frameworks and commercial assurance requirements.
- Confident communicator, able to present analysis clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-focused and pragmatic, able to balance compliance with practical delivery.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
