About the role

A global company within the resources sector are looking to hire a security architect on a permanent basis in Sydney, working in a hybrid capacity.

The role will suit a pragmatic security architect with relevant experience across critical infrastructure who is capable of supporting a greenfield program to uplift the company's cyber security maturity.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a cross-functional architecture team
• Accountability over security architecture, standards, patterns, governance, risk and design assurance
• The role is expected to take a more hands-on approach on solution architecture in year 1
• Influence cyber uplift and remediation outcomes
• Work to strengthen security decision-making, embed appropriate security standards and architecture practices

Key Skills:

• Previous experience working as a network/controls engineer and grown into architecture
• Relevant experience across critical infrastructure - Mining, Utilities, Manufacturing, Asset Maintenance, Health, etc
• Experience within both IT and OT environments
• Technical knowledge on network segmentation, remote access, IAM, threat modelling and industrial security
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel to multiple sites when needed and engage with operational site teams
