Talenza have been engaged by an Global ASX listed financial services company to find a Data and Information Architect to work across a data uplift program of work. The successful candidate will be an experienced data/information architect who has worked with modern AWS hosted data technologies.
This role is onsite in the Brisbane cbd office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

Key Requirements:
- Strong experience designing and governing enterprise data architectures on AWS that deliver secure, trusted and accessible data across operational and analytical platforms in a regulated financial services environment.
- Deep expertise in AWS data services, including Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon Kinesis and Amazon RDS, with a focus on scalable lakehouse and data warehouse patterns.
- Proven capability in data architecture and engineering, including data modelling, lakehouse/warehouse design, ELT/ETL pipelines using AWS-native tooling, real-time streaming and large-scale data migration to AWS.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise analytics and reporting platforms, including Amazon QuickSight and/or Power BI on AWS, with a focus on performance optimisation, semantic modelling and user adoption.
- Experience implementing enterprise information architecture and governance frameworks on AWS, including data classification, taxonomy, metadata management and structured data domains aligned to financial services data models.
- Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data quality, privacy and regulatory compliance (e.g. APRA CPS 234), leveraging AWS services such as AWS Glue Data Catalog, AWS Lake Formation and third-party lineage/cataloguing tools.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics and AI/ML on AWS, including Amazon SageMaker, LLM use cases, and development using Python, SQL and relevant data science frameworks.
