Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cybersecurity and OT projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources across the full project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, plans, risk registers, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Implement fit-for-purpose governance structures and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Define technical requirements and contribute to solution design in collaboration with architects, engineers, and subject matter experts.
- Oversee delivery of cybersecurity initiatives including SOC implementation, IAM programmes, network segmentation and zero trust architecture, vulnerability management, and security awareness programmes.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and managed service providers, ensuring performance against contracted deliverables.
- Oversee procurement activities including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.
- Engage and communicate effectively with executive leadership, operational site managers, IT and OT teams, and external partners.
Desired Experience:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (required).
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (required).
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly regarded.
- GICSP, ICS/SCADA-specific training, or equivalent OT security credentials are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in technology project management, with at least 5 years delivering cybersecurity and/or OT projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the resources, mining, oil & gas, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Experience working in industrial environments including exposure to ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and related OT technologies.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and the ACSC Essential Eight.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet; Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models).
