Talenza is partnering with an innovative technology focused organisation to appoint a Network & Systems Engineer to support critical infrastructure and cloud services across a complex enterprise environment.
This role will suit a technically strong engineer who enjoys working across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security domains - balancing project delivery with operational support.
As a Systems Engineer, you will help design, implement and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services across both on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
Working closely with Architecture, Cyber Security, SRE and broader Technology teams, you will contribute to the ongoing uplift of cloud capability while ensuring operational stability and governance alignment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure (routing, switching, WAN/LAN)
- Configuring and maintaining Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls
- Working with Cisco networking technologies across core and edge environments
- Supporting and implementing Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions
- Monitoring network performance, security events, and system health
- Troubleshooting incidents and providing L2/L3 support and escalation
- Participating in an on-call rotation for critical incidents
- Attending client or site locations when required
Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cisco (routing, switching, VPNs, wireless)
- Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager desirable)
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Exposure to or experience with:
- ZTNA / Zero Trust security frameworks
- Network security best practices and segmentation
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across network + security layers
- Experience in multi-site or client-facing environments (MSP highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders
- Valid driver's licence
