Domain Technical Lead
- Brisbane Based (3 days in office per week)
- +/- $1100 / day including Super
- Initial 6 Month Contract (extension pipeline for 2 year project)
A high-impact leadership opportunity is available for a technically strong, people-focused Domain Lead to shape and elevate a growing digital engineering function.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, cloud, data, and software engineering, leading a team already strong in full-stack delivery and taking it to the next level across DevOps maturity, scalability, and innovation.
The Opportunity
You'll lead a cross-functional engineering domain focused on building data-driven solutions that optimise operational performance, cost efficiency, and predictive decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll:
- Set technical direction across cloud, architecture, security, and data
- Enable teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
- Balance strategic thinking with delivery execution
What You'll Be Doing
- Define and guide solution architecture and engineering standards
- Lead, mentor, and uplift engineers across multiple squads
- Drive best practices across DevOps, cloud-native design, and platform engineering
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic outcomes
- Support planning, estimation, and prioritisation, ensuring cost-effective delivery
- Remove blockers and create an environment where teams can perform at their best
Tech Environment
- Cloud: AWS (primary)
- Stack: .NET / C# / React (TypeScript)
- Data: Python, Snowflake, PostgreSQL
- Focus Areas: Architecture, DevOps, Security, Observability, Data & AI
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' experience as a full‑stack software engineer (C# / React).
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or domain lead role
- Strong background in full-stack engineering with architectural exposure
- Broad capability across cloud, systems design, DevOps, and data platforms
- Comfortable switching between strategy, architecture, and hands-on problem solving
- Strong understanding of delivery, sprint planning, and estimation
- Ability to balance technical quality with cost and business outcomes
Nice to Have
- Experience in data, analytics, or AI-driven products
- Exposure to industrial, operational, or asset-heavy environments
- Background in complex enterprise or transformation programs
