Talenza have been engaged by an Australian ASX listed company to find an TCS BaNCS Technical Lead to work across a core banking uplift. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a highly regulated environment and will have experience with the TCS BaNCS platform.

This role requires 3 days per week in the Brisbane or Auckland office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane or Auckland with full working rights.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with the code structure and technical components of TCS BaNCS, with the ability to guide and challenge vendors despite not having direct access to the source code
• Proven background in a technical role (e.g. developer, engineer) prior to moving into technical leadership
• Demonstrated experience managing and governing third-party vendors, ideally including TCS or similar SI partners, within a financial services environment
• Solid understanding of core banking systems and how BaNCS integrates with surrounding enterprise applications
• Ability to review, interpret, and validate vendor-delivered technical outputs (e.g. code changes, configurations, releases) without direct code access
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising between internal business teams and external delivery partners to ensure accountability and delivery quality
• Experience operating within regulated financial services environments, with an understanding of risk, compliance, and change governance processes
