Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst for a hands‑on role focused on system and data analysis, rather than business process mapping or high‑level requirements definition.
This role suits someone who is comfortable operating deep in the technical detail, working closely with solution architects and engineers to analyse existing environments and confidently engage in discussions about applications, integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in a large‑scale systems transition and integration program involving the transfer of ownership and operation of complex enterprise and regulated systems. The work is conducted under strict confidentiality due to the commercial and operational sensitivity of the program.
The environment includes a mix of corporate and highly regulated operational systems, with a strong emphasis on maintaining continuity while progressively transitioning services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in‑depth technical and data analysis of existing systems and integrations
- Produce detailed system flow diagrams, technical workflows, and data flow diagrams documenting:
- Current‑state architectures
- Transition states
- Future‑state designs
- Work alongside architects to deep‑dive into individual applications, mapping:
- System dependencies
- Integration points
- Data structures and data ownership
- Support a phased, date‑driven transition approach, including:
- Running systems in parallel
- Supporting staged migrations rather than a "big bang" cutover
- Analyse data movement and data integration paths, identifying:
- Source and target systems
- Migration and consolidation requirements
- Data risks and constraints
- Contribute analysis that supports decisions around:
- System consolidation
- Replacement strategies
- Decommissioning of legacy platforms
- Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role
- Proven ability to analyse complex system landscapes and integration-heavy environments
- Confidence working with technical stakeholders, including architects and engineers
- Demonstrated experience producing clear, structured technical documentation and diagrams
- A methodical, detail‑oriented approach to understanding how systems and data truly work
- Experience in large transformation, transition, or integration programs (regulated environments highly regarded)
