Description
A major Australian bank is at the beginning of a significant organisational transformation, and this role sits right at the centre of it. This is not a maintenance coaching engagement or a programme that is already in flight. You will be coming in at the initiation phase, which means genuine influence over how OKRs are embedded, how leaders are coached, and how the operating model evolves from the ground up.
If you thrive in ambiguity, enjoy shaping things rather than inheriting them, and have the credibility to sit in a room with GM-level and above leadership and challenge thinking, this is worth a conversation.
The opportunity
The bank is embedding OKRs as a core discipline to drive strategy execution, sharpen prioritisation and shift the culture from activity-based delivery toward measurable outcomes. You will work directly with senior leaders to translate enterprise strategy into clear business priorities, build effective operating rhythms, and create the conditions for sustained change rather than a short-term uplift.
What you will be doing
Coaching senior leaders and teams on OKR design, adoption and maturity, facilitating quarterly planning cycles and business reviews, embedding governance and tooling to support delivery, and partnering with transformation, portfolio and PMO functions to keep strategy and investment aligned. Building lasting internal capability is a core expectation of the role.
What you will bring
Experience embedding or coaching OKR frameworks inside large, complex organisations is essential. Beyond that, you will have a strong Agile and Lean coaching foundation, demonstrated ability to engage and influence at GM level or above, and the presence and pragmatism to operate effectively inside a risk-sensitive banking environment. Financial services experience is a genuine advantage here, not just a nice to have.
Why this one
Initiation-phase transformations at major banks are rare. The budget is there, the mandate is real, and the right person will leave a lasting mark on how this organisation operates.
This role is for you if:
- You have embedded OKR frameworks inside a large, complex organisation, not just coached the theory
- You are comfortable challenging GM-level and above stakeholders, not just presenting to them
- You have worked inside financial services or a similarly regulated, risk-sensitive environment
- You can point to tangible outcomes from a previous transformation engagement, not just activities delivered
