Senior Business Analyst (12M Contract) - Data (Regulatory Focus, End-to-End Delivery)

About the role:
We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong data experience to drive end-to-end delivery across key regulatory and data transformation initiatives. You'll work across business and technology teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable data outcomes.

This role will suit an experienced Data BA who can operate across stakeholders, with a strong understanding of data flows, lineage, and governance in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end business analysis from discovery through to delivery and implementation
• Translate regulatory requirements into business, data, and technical specifications
• Work across data domains including data migration, lineage, mapping, and reconciliation
• Partner with data engineers and architects on data models, pipelines, and transformations
• Support delivery of regulatory reporting, compliance, and data governance initiatives
• Drive stakeholder engagement across business, risk, compliance, and technology teams
• Facilitate workshops, define requirements, and support testing and data validation activities

What you'll bring:

• 6-10+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or data programs
• Strong experience working on data-focused initiatives (migration, transformation, or reporting)
• Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven projects
• Understanding of data lineage, data quality, and reconciliation processes
• Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders (data engineers, architects)
• Strong end-to-end BA capability across the full delivery lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments

Nice to have:

• Experience with regulatory frameworks (e.g. APRA, BCBS 239, IFRS, AML/KYC)
• Exposure to data governance tools or frameworks
• Experience with SQL or data querying tools
• Background in banking or financial services data platforms
