Team size: ~15-20 (engineering, platforms, experience technology, delivery & partners)
About the role
Talenza is partnering with a large, highly regarded organisation to recruit a GM of Experience Technology to lead the technology that underpins high‑profile, experiences delivered at scale.
This role is accountable for the end‑to‑end technology delivery of time‑critical experiences, ensuring systems perform seamlessly during periods of peak demand and heightened visibility. You will lead the design, readiness and operation of technology across digital products, platforms, infrastructure and on‑site systems that support large and diverse audiences.
This is a senior leadership role suited to a technology executive who thrives in high‑stakes, time‑bound environments, balancing innovation with operational reliability and ensuring technology performs flawlessly when it matters most.
What you'll be responsible for
Live Experience Technology Ownership
- Own the end‑to‑end technology experience across large‑scale live experiences, from readiness through delivery and post‑experience optimisation
- Translate experience, operational and audience needs into robust, high‑performing technology solutions
- Ensure accessibility, inclusion and ease of use across all lie interaction points
Connection & Engagement Beyond the Live Moment
- Enable audiences to connect through digital channels such as mobile applications, interactive content, virtual participation and social integration
- Extend the life of live experiences before, during and after delivery, creating ongoing points of engagement and connection
- Leverage real‑time and historical data to support tailored experiences for both in‑person and remote audiences
- Ensure identity, consent and preference management are embedded so data‑driven experiences are trusted, relevant and scalable
Personalisation & Experience Enablement
- Enable personalised, context‑aware experiences using technology to deepen connection
- Use insight and data to tailor content, communications and interactions across the experience lifecycle
- Partner closely with digital, data and commercial teams to activate insight through experience‑led technology
Experience Technology Strategy & Readiness
- Define and execute the experience technology strategy across live experiences, environments and peak moments
- Lead planning, technical readiness, rehearsals and go‑live execution for complex, fixed‑date delivery
- Ensure platforms, infrastructure and integrations meet performance, security and availability standards
Engineering, Operations & Delivery
- Lead multi‑disciplinary teams across engineering, experience technology, delivery and partners
- Establish clear governance, escalation and decision‑making models for live operations
- Balance rapid execution with disciplined engineering and operational controls
- Oversee vendors, integrators and service partners critical to live delivery
Stakeholder & Executive Partnership
- Act as the senior technology partner for experience, commercial and operational leaders
- Communicate clearly with executives during high‑visibility moments
- Align investment and delivery to experience outcomes, audience expectations and organisational reputation
- Represent technology in partner and stakeholder engagements
