Principal Software Engineer

Role Purpose
As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the platform, shaping architecture, driving engineering strategy, and influencing best practices at scale. You will work across multiple teams to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and future-ready solutions, while mentoring engineers and elevating overall engineering capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for cloud-native platform systems
• Lead design of complex, distributed systems ensuring scalability, resilience, and security
• Influence engineering standards, best practices, and technology strategy across teams
• Partner with senior stakeholders (engineering, product, architecture) to align on long-term direction
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple squads

Experience & Technical Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in system design and architecture
• Strong background in Java (Spring Boot) and modern frontend technologies (e.g. React, TypeScript)
• Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS or cloud-native platforms (AWS preferred)
• Deep understanding of microservices, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and platform engineering
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive technical strategy, and mentor senior engineers
