Talenza have been engaged by an Australian insurance organisation to find a Lead Architect for their claims platform replacement project. The successful candidate will be an experienced architect who has replaced a core insurance platform or has been heavily involved in version uplift projects.

This role requires 2-3 days per week in the Brisbane office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

Key Requirements

• Accountable for end-to-end architecture of core insurance applications within the Future Claims Model (FCM) Programme, bridging business vision and technical delivery
• Lead target state and transition architecture for claims, policy, and billing platforms, owning the full solution architecture lifecycle from concept to implementation
• Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture standards, cloud strategy, security controls, and integration patterns, including managing technical debt and delivery risk
• Design and govern SaaS and COTS platforms, including API-led and event-driven architectures, and embedding non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience, scalability)
• Provide architectural leadership across vendor evaluation, solution selection, and governance of vendor designs, customisation, and implementation approaches
• Act as design authority, conducting architecture reviews, assurance checkpoints, and escalating risks, dependencies, and deviations through governance forums
• Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and architecture stakeholders to translate strategy into executable solutions and ensure cohesive end-to-end delivery
