Senior Systems Administrator - Contract

We are currently partnering with a well-established financial services organisation who are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise Windows environment.

This role will suit someone who enjoys operating across BAU support, infrastructure uplift initiatives and project-based work in a highly regulated environment.

The environment is heavily Microsoft focused, and they are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience across Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory and core Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Administration and support of enterprise Windows Server environments
• Management of Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS/DHCP
• Supporting Microsoft 365 technologies and core infrastructure services
• Working across patching, upgrades, maintenance and system optimisation
• Supporting virtualised environments across VMware
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and operational issues
• Assisting with infrastructure projects and platform improvements
• Working closely with security, networking and application teams

Key skills & experience:

• Strong hands-on Windows Server administration experience
• Deep understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments
• VMware administration experience
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience within financial services or other regulated environments highly regarded
