About the role

A market leader in telecoms are looking for a specialist engineer with strong experience in fixed voice / voice core to join their integration and maintenance team in Sydney

The role would suit someone with in-depth hands-on skills on Ribbon platforms or similar.

Due to the nature of the role, Australian citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of fixed voice performance
• New product testing and integration into the network
• Remediation of network and service performance failures
• Testing on new software and hardware
• Provide SME knowledge on Fixed voice core and fixed voice access

Key Skills:

• Experience on Ribbon fixed core platforms (SBC, PSX, DMS, C20/C2SK) or similar
• Knowledge on SIP signalling and trace analysis
• Experience with monitoring tools like Polystar
• Advanced level 3 technical support
• Capable of mentoring junior engineers
• In-depth knowledge of network performance
