About the Role
Talenza is partnering with a highly regarded organisation to recruit a General Manager Technology to lead the strategy, delivery and operation of technology across critical customer and operational journeys. This is a rare opportunity to lead technology at scale within a prestigious, high‑profile transformation.


You will operate with a product‑led mindset, owning the technology landscape that enables seamless engagement across both online and physical environments.


You will lead the design, readiness and operation of technology spanning digital products, platforms, infrastructure and on‑site systems - ensuring performance, scalability and reliability during periods of peak demand.
This is a senior leadership role suited to a technology executive from a forward‑thinking, product‑centric organisation, who can balance innovation with operational excellence and deliver consistently in complex, time‑bound environments.


Responsibilities


End‑to‑End Technology Ownership

  • Own the end‑to‑end technology outcomes across your domain, from strategy and readiness through to delivery and continuous optimisation
  • Act as the single point of accountability for technology, balancing experience, performance, cost and risk
  • Translate customer, operational and business needs into scalable, high‑performing technology solutions

Technology Delivery & Performance

  • Own the end‑to‑end technology capability across large‑scale environments, from readiness through delivery and continuous improvement
  • Ensure accessibility, inclusion and ease of use across all digital and physical interaction points

Digital Connection & Engagement

  • Enable engagement through digital channels such as mobile applications, interactive content and integrated platforms
  • Design and support journeys that extend engagement across online and physical touchpoints
  • Leverage data to support improved interactions and outcomes

Technology Strategy & Readiness

  • Define and execute the technology strategy across platforms, environments and peak periods
  • Lead planning, technical readiness, testing and deployment for complex delivery cycles
  • Ensure platforms, infrastructure and integrations meet enterprise standards across performance, security and availability

Engineering, Operations & Delivery

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, platforms, digital technology and delivery
  • Establish clear governance, escalation and decision‑making models
  • Balance speed of execution with disciplined engineering and operational controls
  • Oversee vendors, integrators and service partners critical to delivery

Stakeholder & Executive Partnership

  • Act as the senior technology partner to commercial, operational and digital leaders
  • Operate confidently at executive level, particularly during periods of heightened demand
  • Align technology investment and delivery to customer and organisational outcomes
  • Represent technology in senior stakeholder and partner engagements

You

  • Senior technology leadership experience within product‑led, forward‑thinking organisations
  • Proven ability to own end‑to‑end technology outcomes within a product or domain environment
  • Strong background in engineering, platforms and operational delivery at scale
  • Experience delivering technology in complex environments
  • Demonstrated capability in balancing innovation, customer experience and operational resilience
