DevSecOps Engineer
Sydney CBD / Hybrid
Contract Role - 6 Month Initial Term

We're partnering with a global technology business currently investing heavily into their cloud and platform engineering capability, and they're looking for a strong DevSecOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.

This role will suit someone who enjoys building secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, and driving modern DevOps best practices across Kubernetes-based environments.

You'll be working closely with platform, cloud and security teams on enterprise-scale infrastructure initiatives across AWS.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure across AWS environments
• Embedding security controls and automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Managing and improving Kubernetes platforms in production environments
• Driving Infrastructure as Code best practices using Terraform
• Supporting cloud security, vulnerability management and compliance initiatives
• Working closely with engineering teams to uplift DevSecOps maturity and automation capability
• Contributing to platform reliability, scalability and observability initiatives

What we're looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience across AWS cloud environments
• Commercial experience with Kubernetes in enterprise or large-scale environments
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience - ideally Terraform
• Experience implementing security tooling and controls within CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of DevOps, cloud security and platform engineering principles
• Experience with containerisation and modern engineering practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering and security teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Exposure to security tooling such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Snyk, Aqua or similar
• Experience working within global or large enterprise environments
