Our client is a high-performance trading and technology business operating within a fast-paced, globally connected environment where engineering, infrastructure and automation are central to business success.
They are currently seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead their DevOps capability across production systems, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and platform engineering practices. This role combines people leadership with strategic technical ownership across a highly available, business-critical environment.
Working closely with engineering, infrastructure and leadership teams, you'll play a key role in shaping DevOps standards, operational excellence and platform scalability across the organisation.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of DevOps / Platform Engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture
- Drive DevOps strategy, best practices and technical roadmap initiatives across cloud and infrastructure environments
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling and automation frameworks
- Improve system reliability, scalability, observability and operational maturity across production platforms
- Drive Infrastructure as Code and platform standardisation initiatives across engineering teams
- Partner closely with software engineering, infrastructure and security teams to improve software delivery and operational outcomes
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help shape long-term platform and cloud strategy across a modern engineering environment
- Contribute to production readiness, deployment governance and engineering best practices
- Proven experience leading DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE teams
- Strong background across cloud infrastructure, automation and modern DevOps methodologies
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines within enterprise or high-availability environments
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with Kubernetes and containerised platforms
- Strong scripting or software engineering capability across Python, Bash or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability and operational best practices
- Experience driving reliability, scalability and engineering maturity initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Financial services, trading or low-latency environment exposure highly regarded
