The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Quality Analyst to join a leading Financial Services organisation in Sydney, supporting a major enterprise-wide data governance and AI readiness initiative.
This role sits within a growing Data Governance function and will play a key role in ensuring critical enterprise data assets are trusted, governed, and AI-ready as the organisation scales its AI capabilities across the business.
You will join a collaborative team focused on Data Quality and Metadata Management, working closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology to uplift data quality frameworks, improve governance standards, and support strategic AI deployment initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on data quality work with strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise data quality initiatives across critical business domains
- Develop, maintain and optimise data quality rules, controls and monitoring processes
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to improve trust and integrity of enterprise data assets
- Support AI readiness initiatives by ensuring datasets are accurate, governed and fit for scalable AI use cases
- Work closely with metadata and governance teams to improve data lineage, definitions and controls
- Contribute to strategic data governance uplift initiatives across the organisation
- Support and enhance data quality tooling and frameworks, particularly within Ataccama
- Provide insights and recommendations on data quality trends, issues and remediation activities
- Assist with the implementation of best-practice data governance and quality standards
About You
- Proven experience within Data Quality, Data Governance or Metadata Management environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Ataccama is highly desirable
- Experience working within enterprise-scale Financial Services environments
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks and controls
- Exposure to AI readiness, data enablement or modern data platform initiatives is highly advantageous
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented and hands-on
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Passionate about improving enterprise data quality and governance maturity
