I'm working with a client undertaking a significant infrastructure security uplift program and they're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support a range of Windows and Linux server initiatives.

This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable working across both operating systems and has experience delivering security-focused infrastructure projects within enterprise environments.

• Building and configuring Windows and Linux servers following established standards and procedures
• Supporting Essential Eight maturity and broader cyber security uplift initiatives
• Deploying and managing Microsoft Defender across server environments, including Linux
• Rolling out application control and server hardening solutions across Windows and Linux platforms
• Working closely with infrastructure, security and project teams to improve server security posture
• Assisting with operational support, troubleshooting and platform optimisation

• Strong Systems Administration experience across both Windows and Linux environments
• Experience supporting Essential Eight maturity programs or security uplift projects
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Exposure to application control technologies and endpoint security tooling
• Experience building and configuring servers from documented procedures and standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a security-first mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
• Exposure to vulnerability remediation programs
• Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices and hardening frameworks
