Role Summary
This role leads all things data, analytics, and AI across the business. You'll set the strategy, build the team, and make sure data is used safely, effectively, and to drive business decisions.

Financial or Insurance experience is a MUST!

What You'll Actually Do

• Set the direction: Define how the organisation uses data and AI to create value.
• Lead the team: Build and manage a high-performing data team (engineering, analytics, governance, AI).
• Own governance & risk: Make sure data is accurate, secure, and compliant with regulations (especially APRA).
• Drive the data platform: Oversee systems like Databricks, cloud platforms, and data pipelines.
• Deliver insights: Enable reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics for better decision-making.
• Run AI responsibly: Establish AI strategy and ensure models are ethical, monitored, and compliant.
• Work with execs: Translate complex data topics into clear business outcomes for leadership and the board.

What They're Looking For

• Senior leader (10+ years, with leadership experience)
• Strong background in data strategy, governance, and platforms
• Experience in regulated industries (ideally financial services / APRA)
• Knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Databricks, analytics, AI/ML
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
