💰 $150,000 + Super + 10% Bonus

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing technology team embarking on a major enterprise data transformation initiative.
Following the successful completion of a Proof of Concept, significant funding has been secured to build a modern AWS-based data platform that will centralise multiple data silos across the business and enable near real-time access to critical information.
Working alongside a team of talented engineers, you will help design, build and scale a cloud-native data platform that will become a strategic capability for the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working autonomously, and contributing to a project that will have a genuine impact across the business.
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
- Developing and maintaining AWS-based data solutions
- Integrating data from multiple source systems into a centralised data lake
- Building robust ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL
- Implementing data quality, monitoring and governance controls
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Contributing to data platform architecture, modelling and engineering best practices
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the data ecosystem
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-based environments
- Strong hands-on experience across the AWS data stack, including:
- AWS Glue
- Amazon Athena
- Amazon Kinesis
- S3
- Lambda (desirable)
- Strong Python and SQL development skills
- Experience building scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ingestion patterns and data architecture
- Experience implementing data quality, governance and monitoring controls
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience within Healthcare, Financial Services or other highly regulated industries
- Exposure to healthcare integrations including HL7, DICOM or integration engines
- Experience working on enterprise cloud migration or data modernisation programs
- $150,000 base salary + Super
- 10% discretionary bonus
