IDAM Specialist | Brisbane | Hybrid (office-based) | Competitive daily rate | 6 Month Contract (extension potential)
About The Role
We're looking for an IDAM Specialist to support and modernise a large, security-conscious environment, helping keep critical systems stable, compliant and fit-for-purpose as the platform continues to evolve.
You'll partner with infrastructure, DevOps and wider technology stakeholders, balancing BAU support (incl. escalations) with uplift work across identity, access and secrets management.
Skills (Requirements)
* Strong hands-on administration/support across at least two of: OKTA, CyberArk (PVWA), Microsoft AD DS, AWS Secrets Manager
* Solid system administration, operations support, and solutions implementation experience
* Automation/scripting experience (scheduling, repeatable runbooks, reducing manual effort)
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) exposure and practical mindset
* Able to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
* Working knowledge of security administration standards/practices
* Familiarity with CPS 234 or ISO 27002 (or similar)
* Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
Desirables
* Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Associate, OKTA, CyberArk, CISSP, Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator, CompTIA)
* Experience with password management tooling
* Enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic or similar)
* Broader infrastructure architecture principles experience
Role Responsibilities
* Provide SME-level support for identity/access platforms (including level 3 escalations)
* Design and implement improvements to reliability, security, scalability and performance
* Contribute to platform roadmaps and deliver uplift/change initiatives
* Support cloud/hybrid migration activities where relevant and recommend fit-for-purpose tooling
* Work closely with DevOps to automate deployment and maintenance processes
* Implement/maintain monitoring, logging and alerting to proactively detect issues
* Maintain and improve technical documentation, knowledge base and operational procedures
* Support security/audit expectations and help meet compliance requirements
* Share knowledge with the wider team (coaching/mentoring where needed)
