We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Group Data & AI Issue & Risk Lead, a critical role sitting at the intersection of Data, AI, Risk and Governance.
As organisations increasingly leverage data and AI to drive decision-making, the need for robust governance, risk management and remediation has never been greater. This role will provide central oversight of Data & AI risks, issues and control effectiveness across the enterprise, ensuring key risks are identified, understood and effectively managed.
You'll work closely with Data, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Business stakeholders to coordinate remediation activities, support governance forums and drive greater transparency, accountability and risk maturity across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
Overseeing the end-to-end management of Data & AI risks, issues and remediation activities.
Supporting Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), control testing and ongoing monitoring activities.
Maintaining visibility of key risks, control gaps, remediation actions and emerging themes.
Facilitating risk forums and working groups to support prioritisation, governance and decision-making.
Partnering with senior stakeholders across Data, Technology, Risk and Compliance functions.
Coordinating issue resolution and remediation activities across multiple teams and business units.
Producing meaningful reporting, dashboards and insights for leadership and governance forums.
Escalating material risks and unresolved issues where appropriate.
Supporting audit, assurance and regulatory activities.
Driving continuous improvement across Data & AI risk and issue management practices.
What We're Looking For
Strong experience within Risk, Governance, Controls, Data Governance or Operational Risk environments.
Solid understanding of RCSA frameworks, control testing and risk management practices.
Experience managing risk and issue lifecycles within complex organisations.
Exposure to Data Governance, Data Management, AI Governance or related disciplines.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Experience within regulated environments such as Banking, Insurance or Financial Services will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of APRA-regulated environments and frameworks is advantageous.
