Principal Solution Architect

We are seeking a pragmatic, Principal Solution Architect with deep skillset across Data, Cloud, Security, Integration and AI. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will review the current state and inflight initiatives across data, AI, cloud, and cyber security to advise on a strategic roadmap. Your primary focus will be driving architecture that enables technology to be an enabler to scale at pace while balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term technology sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Roadmap & Strategy: Review current-state capabilities and inflight initiatives across data, AI, cloud, and cyber security to define a scalable target-state architecture and future roadmap.
• Architecture Leadership: Lead hands-on solution design and architecture activities across AWS, Azure, and enterprise platforms to ensure secure, maintainable, and scalable outcomes.
• Shared Services Enablement: Design future-state architectures that optimize the shared services support function, enabling the business to scale efficiently.
• Data & AI Innovation: Partner with stakeholders to design modern cloud-native data architectures that support analytics, operational reporting, and artificial intelligence initiatives.
• Security & Integration: Establish secure patterns leveraging Zero Trust principles and Identity and Access Management (IAM), while promoting API-first integration across ERP, CRM, and corporate systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors, translating complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.

You will have:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
• Proven track record of evaluating current-state technology and establishing future-state architecture roadmaps in complex, multi-business environments.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native or hybrid solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated experience across key technical domains: Enterprise Data Strategy, AI/Analytics enablement, Cyber Security frameworks (Zero Trust, Microsoft Entra ID), and Enterprise Integration.
• Previous experience driving Data and Security Strategy along with enterprise modernisation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, Microsoft Fabric) are highly desirable but not mandatory
