• Lead End-to-End data Migration planning and delivery for Workday
• Salary range: $180,000 - $200,000 base + super. Hybrid Sydney CBD/ Macquarie Park

Role

As the HCM Migration Lead, you will own the end-to-end Workday HCM data migration strategy, governance, planning and delivery across a major enterprise HR transformation. You'll establish migration standards, manage data quality, coordinate business validation, oversee testing and cutover activities, and lead a team responsible for delivering repeatable migration cycles across multiple environments. This is a critical leadership role within the Corporate Technology division, partnering closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams and external delivery partners to ensure successful migration outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Workday HCM data migration workstream, including strategy, governance, planning, delivery and cutover readiness.
• Define migration standards, templates, schedules, controls and governance processes to support repeatable delivery.
• Lead source-to-target data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation and sign-off activities.
• Plan and execute mock migrations, trial loads, dress rehearsals and production cutover activities.
• Drive data quality initiatives through profiling, cleansing, validation and reconciliation.
• Manage migration risks, dependencies, defects and readiness reporting throughout the program.
• Lead and mentor Data Migration Analysts while coordinating business SMEs, functional consultants, technical teams and external vendors.
• Provide regular reporting to program leadership on migration progress, risks, issues and overall readiness.
• Ensure migration processes comply with governance, security and audit requirements.
• Support successful testing, deployment and go-live across multiple migration cycles.

To be successful you will have

• 5+ years' experience leading end-to-end data migration workstreams on large ERP and/or HCM transformation programs.
• Experience delivering migrations across enterprise HCM platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, Ceridian Dayforce, UKG, PeopleSoft, TechnologyOne HR, or similar.
• Strong understanding of enterprise HCM data migration including extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Proven experience managing repeatable migration cycles across Development, Test, UAT and Production environments.
• Experience planning and leading cutover activities, including mock migrations, deployment runbooks, reconciliation and go-live readiness.
• Strong capability managing data quality, risks, dependencies and defect resolution throughout migration programs.
• Experience leading small teams while working across business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams and third-party vendors.
• Strong reporting, governance and stakeholder management experience across enterprise transformation programs.
• Experience with cloud-based ETL, migration and data integration tools.
• Experience delivering Workday HCM migrations or Workday implementation projects will be highly regarded.
