About The Role
Talenza have been engaged by an ASX-listed financial services organisation to secure a Data Architect for a high-profile program focused on unifying customer data.

You'll take ownership of the target state data architecture leveraging Microsoft Fabric, covering ingestion/integration, OneLake design, data engineering patterns, warehousing, governance, and enabling analytics/BI via Power BI. This client is particular about strong documentation and clear artefacts that can be handed across teams.

Requirements
* Minimum 3+ years experience as a Data Architect (or equivalent solution/data architecture role)
* Hands on experience designing end to end data platforms on Microsoft (Azure / Fabric ecosystem)
* Strong knowledge of data integration patterns (APIs, SaaS, on prem sources) and pipeline design
* Experience designing lake / lakehouse / warehouse architectures (OneLake / lakehouse concepts ideal)
* Proven ability to produce high quality architecture documentation (HLDs / LLDs, diagrams, standards, decisions)
* Strong stakeholder engagement across engineering, analytics, product and business teams

Desirables
* Microsoft Fabric project experience (Data Factory, OneLake, Spark / notebooks, Warehousing)
* Financial services / insurance exposure (bonus, not essential)
* Experience with data governance practices (lineage, data quality, security) and aligned tooling
* Experience with streaming / real-time analytics use cases
* Exposure to AI/ML enablement on modern data platforms

Role Responsibilities
* Define target state data architecture using Microsoft Fabric to unify customer data sources
* Design ingestion / integration approach across databases, APIs, SaaS and on-prem systems
* Establish data modelling, lakehouse / warehouse patterns, and architectural standards
* Produce clear documentation and artefacts (diagrams, decision logs, patterns, standards)
* Work closely with stakeholders across technology and business to align requirements and delivery
