Network Engineer | Banking | 12-Month Contract | Sydney

The Opportunity

A leading Australian financial services organisation is expanding its project delivery team and is looking to engage multiple Network Engineers for a long-term contract opportunity.

This is a hands-on project-focused role, working across network security, infrastructure upgrades, vulnerability remediation and firewall transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment on Cisco and F5 kit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, prioritise and remediate network infrastructure vulnerabilities
  • Deliver network security hardening initiatives across enterprise environments
  • Support large-scale firewall migration projects
  • Perform network hardware refreshes and software upgrades
  • Execute network patching and lifecycle management activities
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Help maintain a secure and resilient network environment


Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching
  • Experience managing next-generation firewalls, ideally Cisco or Palo Alto
  • Exposure to enterprise wireless networks and WLC technologies
  • Hands-on experience with F5 technologies, including LTM, GTM and Big-IQ
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Proven experience with vulnerability remediation and security hardening programs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within complex environments
