About The Role
Talenza are partnering with a large Brisbane organisation to engage a Senior Solutions Architect (Enterprise Architect) on an initial 6-month contract, with potential to extend to 12 months.

This role is focused on uplifting the maturity, scalability, and effectiveness of the architecture practice ahead of a key delivery phase commencing January 2027. Acting as a "solution architect for solution architects", you'll help standardise ways of working and make best practice repeatable across the organisation and its delivery partners.

Over the engagement, you'll partner with domain architects to define and document reusable architecture assets, reference architectures, patterns, and guardrails, across security, integration, data architecture, and broader technology architecture. A key outcome is producing consistent, well-documented approaches that internal teams and external vendors can leverage immediately, reducing ambiguity and delivery time.

Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in enterprise / solution architecture roles within complex organisations
* Proven track record uplifting an architecture practice (standards, governance, ways of working)
* Strong ability to produce high quality, reusable architecture artefacts (reference architectures, patterns, guardrails)
* Broad technical understanding across security, integration, data and enterprise technology domains
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with IT leadership, architects, and business technology stakeholders
* Confident workshop facilitation and decision capture (including large-group sessions)
* Strong documentation discipline able to turn "good ideas" into clear, accessible standards teams can follow

Desirables
* Experience aligning architecture practices to an established framework (e.g., TOGAF)
* Experience working in environments with multiple vendors/partners and varying domain maturity
* Exposure to operating model / governance uplift alongside architecture standardisation
* Experience supporting major delivery phases and ensuring architecture readiness

Role Responsibilities
* Assess current architecture practice maturity and identify key gaps/inconsistencies
* Partner with domain architects to define and document reusable architecture assets across priority domains
* Establish consistent guardrails and standards (e.g., security/login patterns, integration design standards)
* Convert undocumented approaches into agreed, accessible artefacts and templates for re-use
* Align architecture ways of working to a recognised framework (e.g., TOGAF) to enable scalability
* Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions/workshops
* Capture decisions, standards and patterns clearly so internal teams and vendors can execute quickly
* Provide ongoing guidance to ensure artefacts are adopted and fit-for-purpose ahead of the delivery phase
