Talenza has partnered with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Transformation Program Delivery Lead to oversee the successful completion of a significant enterprise transformation program.

This is a pivotal leadership role focused on bringing a complex program safely to its conclusion. With four major streams of work operating across three delivery squads, you will be responsible for driving delivery, governance, testing, operational readiness, and go-live execution to ensure the program lands successfully and delivers its intended business outcomes.

The organisation is seeking a highly credible delivery leader who thrives in complex environments, can manage multiple stakeholders, and has a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programs through their most critical final stages.

The Opportunity

As the Transformation Program Delivery Lead, you will provide leadership in the final critical phase of the program; coordinating delivery teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and executives to ensure all workstreams remain aligned and focused on successful execution.

You will take ownership of program governance, delivery oversight, testing readiness, deployment planning, and go-live activities while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and critical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the final delivery phase of a major business and technology transformation program.
  • Coordinate and manage four interconnected streams of work across three delivery squads.
  • Establish and maintain robust program governance, reporting, steering committee engagement, and executive communications.
  • Manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and critical decision points.
  • Drive alignment between technology, business, operations, and external delivery partners.
  • Oversee end-to-end testing strategy, execution, defect management, and production readiness activities.
  • Ensure successful business readiness, operational transition, and change adoption.
  • Lead deployment planning, cutover management, and go-live execution.
  • Facilitate executive decision-making and remove delivery roadblocks.
  • Create accountability, momentum, and focus across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure delivery outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently, and with minimal business disruption.

Key Selection Criteria:

Proven Change Leadership

    • Ability to lead large-scale organisational change.
    • Drive adoption of new processes and operating models.

Operational Implementation

    • Strong track record of taking projects from delivery through to business implementation.
    • Able to convert plans into operational outcomes.

People Leadership

    • Experience leading teams through significant transformation.

Business Readiness & Training

    • Development of procedures and operating guides.
    • Creation and delivery of training programs.
    • Ability to run end-to-end testing and business validation ("cradle to grave" test cases).

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

    • Coordination across process owners, business stakeholders, communications teams, training leads, and squad members.
    • Experience working with major technology partners

You:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong program delivery, governance, and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams with significant interdependencies.
  • Experience leading testing, business readiness, cutover, and go-live activities for critical initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, hybrid, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes under pressure.
  • Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, superannuation, wealth management, or other regulated environments is preferable but not a pre-requisite.

Why this role?

  • Lead the successful delivery of a high-profile strategic transformation.
  • Significant executive visibility and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ownership of governance, testing, operational readiness, and go-live outcomes.
  • Collaborative and high-performing delivery environment.
  • Competitive remuneration and flexible working arrangements.
  • An opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring a major transformation achieves its intended business outcomes.
