Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, you will play a key role in protecting critical systems, digital services, and information assets. This position is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber threats while supporting the implementation of security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, and application environments.
Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers, you will contribute to cyber security operations, incident response, risk management, governance activities, and the ongoing maturity of the organisation's security capability.
- Demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security role with strong experience across the Microsoft Security stack.
- Strong experience securing and administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Privileged Access Management.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Policy, Microsoft Purview, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Solid understanding of cyber security frameworks and standards including Essential Eight, ISM, NIST, ISO 27001, and cloud security benchmarks.
- Proven ability to investigate security alerts, respond to incidents, conduct threat analysis, and support remediation activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Monitor and respond to cyber security threats, alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities across cloud, identity, endpoint, and network environments.
- Support the security administration and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and associated security technologies.
- Contribute to security risk assessments, compliance activities, audits, and the implementation of security controls aligned with industry and government frameworks.
- Assist with cyber incident response activities, including investigation, containment, recovery, reporting, and lessons learned initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to strengthen security posture, enhance governance, and support ongoing security projects and initiatives.
