The Opportunity

We are seeking a Management Consultant - Delivery to support a major program within the banking and financial services sector.

This is initially a 6-month engagement with the potential for extension, providing the opportunity to contribute to a significant initiative within a complex banking and financial services environment.

This is a client-facing consulting role where you will be responsible for driving delivery outcomes across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between business and technology teams and maintaining momentum across a complex delivery environment.

We're looking for a polished, delivery-focused consultant who takes ownership, drives accountability and keeps delivery moving.

Working closely with client stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams, you will manage dependencies, remove blockers, coordinate delivery activities and help ensure program outcomes are successfully delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Coordination

• Own and drive workstreams across technology, business change and delivery initiatives
• Drive delivery momentum across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
• Manage plans, priorities, dependencies, risks and issues
• Establish clear actions, ownership and accountability across delivery teams
• Facilitate governance, reporting and decision-making forums
• Ensure program objectives, milestones and deliverables are achieved

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across business and technology functions
• Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and working groups
• Support stakeholder alignment across competing priorities
• Communicate issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide clear, concise reporting and delivery updates

Consulting

• Develop high-quality consulting deliverables and recommendations
• Support business improvement, operating model and process optimisation initiatives
• Translate complex business challenges into practical, actionable solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes and ways of working
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and practical business outcomes

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a polished, delivery-focused consultant who takes ownership, drives accountability and keeps delivery moving.

You will:

• Bring structure and momentum to delivery without creating unnecessary process
• Have strong planning, coordination and delivery management capabilities
• Be comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities
• Build credibility quickly with both business and technology stakeholders
• Confidently manage risks, dependencies and competing priorities
• Provide clear, concise and professional reporting
• Take ownership of outcomes and follow through on commitments
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, execution and client value

Required Experience

• 4-5 years' consulting, PMO, business change or project delivery experience
• Experience working in client-facing environments and managing stakeholder relationships
• Proven experience supporting business change, PMO or technology initiatives
• Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and governance activities
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across complex organisational environments

Highly Desirable

• Banking, Financial Services or Payments experience
• Experience supporting technology implementation or platform delivery programs
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and technology delivery practices
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise programs
• Previous consulting experience within a Big 4 or boutique consulting environment
