Cyber Risk Project Manager (Compliance Uplift)
12 Month Contract



Overview


A leading enterprise organisation is seeking an experienced Cyber Risk Project Manager to lead and deliver a large-scale cyber compliance and risk uplift program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing cyber security initiatives, governance and risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance programs across complex enterprise environments.
This role will be responsible for driving compliance uplift activities aligned to industry standards and regulatory obligations, including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Essential Eight (E8), SOCI Act, and other relevant cyber governance requirements.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of cyber risk and compliance uplift programs across the organisation.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinate remediation activities relating to cyber risk assessments, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Partner with Cyber Security, Risk, Technology and Business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Drive alignment to key frameworks and standards including:
    • ISO 27001
    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework
    • Essential Eight (E8)
    • Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) obligations
    • Industry and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and executive reporting.
  • Track and manage compliance uplift initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and oversee remediation programs.
  • Ensure project documentation, reporting and governance artefacts are maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners where required.


Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering Cyber Security, Risk or Compliance programs within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience leading Compliance Uplift or Cyber Maturity programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards including:
    • ISO 27001
    • NIST
    • Essential Eight (E8)
    • SOCI
    • CPS 234 (desirable)
  • Experience managing regulatory, risk and governance-driven projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and technical teams.
  • Excellent project governance, reporting and delivery management capabilities.
  • Experience working with audit findings, risk remediation and control uplift initiatives.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
