About the role

As a Cyber Incident Handler, you will play a key role in identifying, investigating, containing, and resolving cyber security incidents. You will work across the full incident lifecycle, analysing security events, reviewing logs and artefacts, coordinating response activity, and providing practical remediation guidance to reduce business risk.

  • Exposure to tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, firewalls, DLP, vulnerability management, or forensic platforms.
  • Experience working with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes and ticketing systems.
  • Relevant security certifications such as GIAC, EC-Council, CompTIA, or similar will be highly regarded.

Role accountabilities

  • Analyse security events, logs, endpoint artefacts, network activity, and other data sources to support incident containment and resolution.
  • Coordinate response activities across technical teams, stakeholders, and business units during live incidents and post-incident reviews.
  • Produce clear written and verbal updates for security leadership, including technical findings, risk context, and remediation recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of incident response playbooks, processes, and cyber security capability.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work in a mature enterprise cyber security environment with exposure to complex incident response activity.
  • Collaborative team culture with strong stakeholder engagement and scope to influence cyber resilience improvements.
  • Ongoing opportunity to build technical expertise across incident response, security operations, threat analysis, and digital investigations.
