Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Permanent | $170,000 + Super | Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office

We're partnering with a well-established organisation looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to help build, automate and improve its Azure cloud environment.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving cloud engineering practices and creating secure, scalable platforms through automation.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and supporting scalable infrastructure across Microsoft Azure
• Automating cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep or Terraform
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
• Engineering Azure networking solutions across VNets, subnets, routing, private endpoints, firewalls and connectivity
• Improving the security, reliability, scalability and performance of the Azure environment
• Developing reusable infrastructure modules, deployment patterns and engineering standards
• Troubleshooting complex cloud, deployment and networking issues
• Working closely with engineering, architecture, security and operations teams
• Mentoring other engineers and helping uplift DevOps and cloud engineering capability

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience engineering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience using Bicep or Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, routing, private endpoints, DNS and hybrid connectivity
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tooling
• Strong understanding of Azure identity, security, governance and monitoring
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar
• A strong troubleshooting mindset and the ability to work across complex cloud environments
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Previous experience operating at a senior engineering level
