Description

Operational Resilience Coordinator

We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation to find an Operational Resilience Coordinator to join its Platform Delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience across technology delivery, operational resilience, disaster recovery, technology risk, business continuity or governance who enjoys bringing people, information and actions together to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You'll play a key role in supporting the uplift of application-level disaster recovery and operational resilience across a number of critical technology platforms, working closely with technology, business, risk, cyber, architecture, vendors and external partners.

Reporting to the GM, Platform Delivery, you'll act as a key coordination point between the Platform Delivery / Application Services teams and the broader Operational Resilience transformation program.

You won't be expected to be the technical owner of every platform. Instead, you'll ensure the right people are engaged, dependencies are understood, risks and actions are visible, decisions are documented and the required outcomes are progressed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating application-level disaster recovery and operational resilience uplift activities across critical applications and platforms.

  • Working with application owners, business owners, technology teams, vendors and service providers to understand recovery requirements and dependencies.

  • Supporting the documentation of RTOs, RPOs, recovery sequencing, integrations, data dependencies, access requirements and business validation expectations.

  • Coordinating DR discovery, planning and testing readiness activities.

  • Maintaining RAID logs, dependency trackers, action registers, decision logs and governance artefacts.

  • Supporting the preparation of recovery runbooks, test plans, evidence packs, status reports and management updates.

  • Tracking risks, issues, dependencies and remediation actions through to closure.

  • Coordinating workshops and working sessions across Technology, Risk, Cyber Security, Architecture, Business Continuity, vendors and business stakeholders.

  • Supporting assurance, audit and evidence requirements associated with operational resilience and technology resilience.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve recovery documentation, testing readiness, evidence quality and repeatable resilience practices.

We're looking for a strong technology coordinator / BA / PMO / technology risk / resilience professional who can operate confidently across complex enterprise environments.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 4+ years' experience in technology delivery coordination, business analysis, technology risk, operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, service management or technology governance.

  • Experience coordinating activity across multiple technology teams and business stakeholders.

  • Exposure to operational resilience, disaster recovery, technology resilience, business continuity, risk remediation or control uplift.

  • Strong experience managing RAIDs, dependencies, actions, risks, decisions, reporting and governance documentation.

  • The ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability to understand technology dependencies at a working level - including applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, access and vendors.

  • Experience coordinating workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder meetings and action follow-ups.

  • A structured and proactive approach, with the confidence to identify gaps, challenge ambiguity and keep things moving.

Experience within a regulated or complex environment will be highly regarded, particularly:

  • Insurance or financial services.

  • APRA-regulated environments.

  • CPS 230 / CPS 234.

  • Operational resilience or business continuity programs.

  • Disaster recovery testing and remediation.

  • Technology risk and control uplift.

  • Critical business services and dependency mapping.

  • Application recovery planning and runbook development.

  • Working with business-critical insurance, claims, policy, CRM or MI platforms.

  • Enterprise technology environments involving cloud, APIs, data platforms and complex integrations.

Experience with platforms such as Duck Creek, Dynamics 365 CE, Azure, Databricks or similar enterprise technology ecosystems would also be advantageous, but is not essential.

This is a great opportunity to join a significant technology and operational resilience program where you'll have broad exposure across Technology, Risk, Cyber, Business Continuity, Architecture and business stakeholders.

You'll be working on initiatives that directly improve the organisation's ability to respond to disruption, recover critical technology services and build greater resilience into its operating environment.

It's an ideal role for someone who enjoys being the person who connects the dots, brings structure to complexity and makes sure things actually get done.
