The Opportunity
We are partnering with a large Australian organisation delivering a significant, enterprise-scale technology transformation across a complex operational environment.
We are seeking an experienced PMO Support / PMO Analyst to work closely with the PMO Lead and Program Manager, providing hands-on support across planning, governance, reporting, RAID and program controls.
This is a fast-moving program involving multiple technology workstreams, vendors and interdependencies. The role requires someone who is highly organised and detail-oriented, but who can also understand delivery information and identify where something requires further investigation.
The Role
As part of the program PMO, you will:
- Maintain and update the integrated program plan, milestones and key dependencies.
- Support RAID management, including tracking risks, issues, actions and decisions through to resolution.
- Coordinate fortnightly and monthly program reporting cycles.
- Gather, validate and consolidate status updates from Project Managers and Workstream Leads.
- Support preparation of Steering Committee and executive-level reporting.
- Translate detailed program information into clear, concise reporting.
- Track program milestones, deliverables, actions and dependencies.
- Support financial reporting, forecasting and resource tracking.
- Maintain governance documentation, registers and key program artefacts.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of information provided by individual workstreams.
- Identify discrepancies, emerging risks and dependencies requiring escalation.
- Coordinate governance meetings and ensure actions and decisions are captured and followed through.
- Support ongoing improvements to PMO processes, templates and reporting.
- Work closely with the PMO Lead to maintain an accurate overall view of program health.
About You
You will have solid PMO experience gained within a complex technology program or transformation environment.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience as a PMO Analyst, PMO Coordinator, Project Coordinator or similar.
- Strong program planning and scheduling capability.
- Hands-on experience managing RAID and dependencies.
- Experience supporting multi-workstream technology programs.
- Strong governance and reporting capability.
- Experience preparing SteerCo and senior stakeholder reporting.
- Good financial tracking and reporting skills.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and project planning/tooling capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and follow-up skills.
- The confidence to question information when something doesn't look right.
- An ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities and delivery status can change quickly.
What We're Looking For
This isn't a purely administrative PMO position.
The successful candidate will be able to interpret information rather than simply collate it. You'll understand how milestones, risks and dependencies connect across different workstreams and proactively highlight issues to the PMO Lead.
You'll be comfortable getting into the detail, chasing information and maintaining strong program disciplines while taking a pragmatic approach that supports delivery rather than creating unnecessary process.
What Success Looks Like
You'll provide the PMO Lead and Program Manager with reliable, accurate and timely visibility of program performance, while taking ownership of much of the day-to-day PMO activity.
Your contribution will allow the PMO Lead to spend more time connecting the dots across the program, challenging delivery and supporting executive decision-making, knowing that the underlying program controls are being managed effectively.
