Description

Talenza have partnered with WorkCover Queensland to find an Enterprise Data Manager to work lead the Data Governance team, across a high profile data transformation program. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading a Data Governance function within a highly regulated enterprise environment.

This role requires 50% in office time over a fortnight in the Brisbane CBD office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

Key Requirements

  • Lead the enterprise data governance and management framework, defining and embedding policies, standards, controls and practices that ensure data is trusted, secure, compliant and fit for purpose.

  • Operate and continuously mature data governance within a complex, regulated environment, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, privacy and security obligations.

  • Establish clear data ownership, stewardship and accountability models, embedding decision rights and governance practices across business processes, delivery frameworks and data platforms.

  • Uplift core data management capabilities, including data quality, metadata, lineage, lifecycle management, governance tooling and reporting, with knowledge of DAMA principles and tools such as Informatica, Collibra or similar.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Data Office team, building data capabilities from early-stage practices through to mature operating models, while managing resources and strategic priorities.

  • Partner with senior business stakeholders, data domain functions, CISO and external partners to improve data maturity, manage risk and enable data to support operations, analytics and AI.

  • Identify, assess, monitor and escalate data, privacy, security and operational risks, ensuring appropriate controls, mitigation and compliance with organisational risk management frameworks and policies.

  • Drive continuous improvement and strategic delivery across the Data Office, balancing risk, quality, efficiency and commercial considerations while delivering governance initiatives and BAU outcomes within agreed priorities and budgets.
