We're partnering with a highly respected Australian organisation seeking a Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of its security architecture capability.

This is a strategic architecture position responsible for embedding security across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments. You'll work across infrastructure, identity, applications and data, partnering with technology and business stakeholders to ensure security is built into every stage of the technology lifecycle.

The environment is heavily invested in the Microsoft ecosystem, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Azure and Microsoft security expertise who enjoys balancing architecture, governance, risk and stakeholder engagement.

• Proven experience in a Security Architect or senior security engineering role, ideally within a regulated environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure and Microsoft security technologies, including Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Purview and Intune.
• Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust, IAM, cloud security, network security and data protection architectures.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and APRA CPS 234.
• Experience conducting threat modelling, security design reviews and risk assessments.

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments, ensuring security-by-design principles are embedded throughout the organisation.
• Lead security architecture initiatives across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, data protection, threat detection and cyber resilience capabilities.
• Provide architecture governance, security design reviews and trusted advisory support for projects, technology teams and business stakeholders.
• Drive improvements across security frameworks, policies, standards and regulatory compliance activities.
