Our NSW Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager - Operating Model to lead the people side of a significant technology transformation initiative. Reporting directly to the Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO), this role will be responsible for developing and executing change, communication and stakeholder engagement strategies associated with operating model and organisational change. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leaders to drive adoption, manage business impacts and support the successful implementation of the future-state operating model.
Role Title: Senior Change Manager - Operating Model
Day Rate Contract: $1,000 - $1,100 + Super
Location: Macquarie Park (2113) - 3 days per week on-site and 2 days working from home (WFH).
Contract Role Till: 6 Month Initial Contract
About the Role
- Lead the development and execution of change management strategies to support a large-scale operating model transformation within the organisation.
- Design and deliver stakeholder engagement, communication and change adoption plans aligned to project objectives.
- Partner with executive stakeholders and senior leaders to assess change impacts and manage organisational readiness.
- Drive adoption of new ways of working, structures, processes and responsibilities across the technology organisation.
- Develop targeted communication and engagement activities to support stakeholders throughout the transformation journey.
- Identify and manage change risks, resistance and adoption challenges within a complex organisational environment.
- Provide strategic change leadership while remaining hands-on in the delivery of change activities and artefacts.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience leading operating model transformation and organisational change initiatives within IT or technology-focused environments is deemed necessary.
- A background working on projects or work relating to Human Resources and Employment Relations is deemed desirable.
- Demonstrated success delivering end-to-end change management programs, from strategy and planning through to implementation and embedding.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement capabilities, including experience working with Executive Leadership Teams and senior business leaders.
- Proven experience developing and executing communication, engagement and change management plans for large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing leadership with hands-on delivery.
- Experience navigating complex, sensitive and ambiguous change environments.
