Program Director

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead a complex, large-scale enterprise transformation programme within financial services.

Sydney location - 4/5 days office per week - permanent opportunity

This is a highly visible leadership role, responsible for providing end-to-end programme oversight while bringing together multiple Release Trains (RTEs), workstreams and senior stakeholders to ensure delivery remains aligned, integrated and ready for major release and migration events.

  • Provide overall programme leadership across multiple Release Trains, ensuring integrated planning, delivery alignment and dependency management.
  • Lead and coordinate RTEs across complex, interdependent technology and business workstreams.
  • Establish strong programme governance, reporting and readiness practices.
  • Oversee major release and migration events, including planning, readiness assessments, implementation, hypercare and lessons learned.
  • Provide executive-level insights, reporting and recommendations to support key programme decisions.
  • Drive alignment across Business, Technology and Transformation teams and manage complex cross-functional dependencies.
  • Build strong relationships with senior executives and stakeholders across a highly complex delivery environment.
  • Proven experience as a Program Director leading large-scale technology transformation, migration, simplification or divestment programmes within banking
  • Strong experience working across multiple Release Trains / RTEs within complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent programme integration, release management and enterprise planning capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage significant dependencies across multiple workstreams and delivery teams.
  • Comfortable operating strategically while remaining closely connected to execution and delivery.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions.
  • Resilient, pragmatic and confident navigating ambiguity, competing priorities and significant organisational change.
