Description
- Join a well-established Australian organisation undergoing a significant uplift across cyber security, cloud, and modern workplace technologies.
- Technology is viewed as a key enabler of the business, with ongoing investment in security tooling, infrastructure modernisation, and operational resilience.
- Collaborative and people-focused culture with strong leadership support for security initiatives and continuous improvement.
We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing cyber security team. This is a hands-on role focused on engineering, maintaining, and enhancing security controls across a predominantly Microsoft environment.
You'll work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and technology teams to strengthen security posture, respond to emerging threats, and optimise key cyber security platforms. The environment is largely Windows-based, with some Linux infrastructure, and a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Proven experience working as a Security Engineer.
- Strong Microsoft security background across technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), M365, and Azure security services.
- Experience securing Windows server and endpoint environments, with exposure to Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Netskope, and/or Mimecast would be highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
- Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders to drive security improvements and best practices.
- Engineer, maintain, and continuously improve security technologies across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to implement security controls and improve overall cyber maturity.
- Optimise and manage key security platforms including endpoint, email, identity, and cloud security solutions.
- Contribute to security projects, governance initiatives, and best-practice security standards across the business.
- Opportunity to work in a mature Microsoft environment with modern security technologies and ongoing investment.
- Broad exposure across cloud, infrastructure, security operations, and engineering initiatives.
- Flexible working arrangements and a supportive culture focused on professional growth and development.
