About The Role

Talenza are supporting a major programme currently in delivery, now moving into a new cloud delivery model and needing to lift delivery velocity through a stronger, standardised testing practice.

This is a Tech Lead / Test Architect style role focused on defining "what good looks like" and implementing it across governance, standards and tooling configuration that enforces the model. It's not a hands-on execution role, and it's not a "write a test strategy document and walk away" engagement, you'll be embedding standards that teams can repeatedly apply.

Requirements

• Test Architect / Tech Lead level experience (ideally someone who's come from an automation or development background)
• Proven experience setting up and implementing a test practice / testing framework or rolling out testing standards at scale
• Strong governance capability: policies, guardrails, quality standards, and ways of working
• Strong tooling credibility, experience working across multiple test tools and standardising practices across teams
• Ability to define how tooling should be configured to enforce standards (not just "recommendations")
• Strong technical lens on automation standards and approach (direction-setting, not necessarily coding)
• Comfortable operating across distributed delivery teams and aligning stakeholders to a consistent model
• Not suitable for candidates whose scope is primarily test plans / high-level strategy documents only
